Alright, enough teasing. This is the new addition to the collection:
Too small for a name, don't you think?

In addition, I got this from Jen's booth

Cute, huh?

She was selling them for $3 or free with a $25 purchase. Always one for a bargain, I saw no choice but to buy

an ounce each!
That's (left to right) Manx Loghtan, CVM (that's California Varigated Mutant - Mauve), Polworth (sinful stuff this is!) and a blend that has Angora and other stuff (Jen - remind me what that other stuff is???)(it's Polworth and Angora)

I also bought this from a bunny booth:

An ounce of fawn angora - I wanted to take the whole bunny home, but someone wouldn't let me...

I think all those fibers above are destined to be a shawl as well... I'll probably get more of several ounces of Jen's at Rhinebeck.

In other news, that "thing" going on in my life that caused me to ask for positive energy and prayers was a job interview, which happened this morning. It went very well, with them praising me as if I was God's Gift to radio, swearing that I am amazingly talented (this we all knew, right???) and their only concern is that I would have to live about 45 - 60 minutes away to "split the difference" with GB as far as commutes for our different jobs. To me, that's a minor concern, but since I'm not sure the job is worth all the things I need it to be, I'm going to try not to think about it until I get an actual offer. So all those prayers and positive energy are much appreciated, keep 'em coming - just send them in the direction of "happy career choice" and not just "get that job".... I've been feeling a little cursed in the work situations for the past 8 years or so...

This is my horoscope for today. Think it means anything?
Be comforted. And be loved. You deserve both experiences. And both are on offer. The world is not the harsh place you have lately begun to see it as. It is, rather, a place of contrasts and extremes. Having been to one, you now need to visit the other. But even when life is at its toughest, you inwardly trust that it will get easier. And when it is seemingly easy, you are half on the lookout for the next hidden problem. That's what makes existence interesting - provided you go with it all. The gift that is about to be given to you is one that it would be churlish to turn down.

And keep telling me about your holiday traditions! We love the charity idea, and also the ornament idea. GB suggested we make an ornament every year, which (as I told him) is a great idea, except that one of us is rather crafty, and one of us is a bit technical, and I'm not saying who that is, but the one that would get stuck making everything has a knitting blog.

I do like the idea of making something special each year, but I want traditions that we do together...

SP,

How about 'Pixy' as a name for the new addition?

The new addition is to die for! If I saw it in person I think I would accidently eat it; it's just that cute. And the bumper sticker... Awesome.

You had me fooled. I thought you got another full size wheel, I was ready to be jealous. I love the new little one. It's adorable and definitely deserves a little name. :)

a bit late on the christmas traditions, but my parents buy two ornaments every year. glass ones, from germany. they've been together so long that they have a huge tree full of beautiful things! my dad buys one for my mom, and my mom buys one for my dad, but they benefit the whole family.

they also make a point to decorate the tree together. my mom puts it together (we have a bigass fake tree), my dad puts the lights on, then everyone puts ornaments on.
