The fourth thing my Christmas bonus got for me is the new Golding Spindle

another sweater of Cascade

a sweater's worth of Cascade

and a letter expressing their thanks...

~~~~~
Now, before I pluck myself bald, will you do me a favor? It won't take long...
Cast on 24 stitches a knit a few rows so there's a little base. Then:
"Slip 1, P15, P2tog, Turn
Slip 1, K8, K2tog, Turn
Slip 1, P9, P2tog, turn
Continue in this manner, always working 1 more st on each row before decreasing, until all sts are worked."
Ignore that your decreases won't be symmetrical.
How many stitches are on the needle now????
Edited to add a moment of zen:
These are from a dear friend on Knitters Review who wisely has not given me the address of the farm that this baby and Wizard (the "cross-dresser") live on, to protect them from alpaca-napping. If you see me wearing an alpaca suit and driving our Expedition, I'm not heading there. Honest.
Could you just die for that baby, or what?
That spindle is gorgeous. I have the smaller Tsunami from them and it's like buttah ;) I did spin on their triple flyer number at Rhinebeck and it really was to die for. I was ready to trade the twins in on one :)
The yarn is lovely and congratulations on that great bonus! Its very nice when a company actually rewards the hard work an employee puts in.
Enjoy it!
I love that new Golding spindle. I may need to add it to my Christmas list. I'm still holding out for a spinning wheel though. What a great surprise, your bonus :) I haven't gotten a bonus from an employer in probably 8 years. I wasn't even sure that companies did that sorta thing any more. Enjoy spending it!
Gorgeous Golding! I'm waiting for you to get an email from the Society for the Prevention of Silly Stuffed Reindeer Antlers on Fiber-Bearing Animals complaining about the obviously cruel and inhumane treatment those poor animals must withstand. It's one step away from the comfy chair, I tell you!
Wow, your Golding is beeeyoooteeeful! I got one at Rhinebeck, but sadly it's been sitting unused for so long. I keep waiting for that precious commodity - TIME! I like your Tree of Life one. Mine is Celtic knots, but after a while I got the feeling it wasn't really Celtic knots, but pretzels, and I felt it was mocking me. But I still love it. LOVE the feel of it and the weight. Omigosh, those alpacas are TOO cute. Wouldn't I love one of them in my Christmas stocking, too! I am enjoying you sharing your Christmas bonus shopping with us, too.
