My aunt Kathy gave me a tiny fashion purse for Christmas. I like it - it's very cute.

Trouble is, I'm generally too lazy to empty and shuffle and change contents of a purse depending on my outfit.

So instead, this one holds something better than my wallet (that won't get you far anyway)...

It's just big enough for a little ball of yarn and some needles! So you see my little Aslan-the-sock project is going strong!

A close up so you can see how pretty. I think this is my favorite toe so far - it's nice and round. I'm now done the toe increases, and I've done a few rows just plain round, and I'll move into the ribbing for the foot in another inch or so. I don't know what ribbing I'll choose, because I'm thinking I might like to do something exciting up the leg, but I want to see how much the yarn pools...

And that's pretty much it right now! Please give a little something to charity - any charity - don't forget that the tsunami didn't wipe away the need all over the world. And please stop by the AC Moore in Glen Burnie tomorrow! They're having a Knitathon from 9am - 9pm and it should be lots of fun! Happy weekend!

Very very cool looking sock. I should do more socks toe-up, they seem to go faster. :)

Didn't read yesterday, so I wasn't a lurker yesterday.

I love the looks of the toe shaping. It looks like you increased in the first stitch of each 1/4 section. Did you increase on every row or every 'other' row? I really must give it a try.

I like the star toe - seems comfy to me.
I'm glad your class went well.
I wish I lived closer - I'd like to come to one of your knitting nites, but I have been getting off work too late.
BTW that is a much better use for the little purse than a lipstick and money - unless the money is for byuing more kntiing stuff. ; ) Linda
