Rhinebeck: An Epic Adventure Chapter I. Every Dog Has His Day

Once upon a time there was a princess named Amie.
Princess
Amie was a lovely person, cheerful, friendly, and a gifted knitter and spinner. Amie was married to Prince GB, a good-hearted man who loved her deeply.
Prince
One day, Amie decided to go on a Quest For Knowlege at a mystical far off kingdom called Rhinebeck. She went to Prince GB and asked him to send Queen Catherine of Rhinebeck the gold needed to fullfill Amie's Quest For Knowlege.
Gold Coins
And because he loved her, he did.

And so Princess Amie awaited the day she would leave for her Quest For Knowlege eagerly. Surely Queen Catherine would send notice that they had received the gold, and alert Amie of tools she would need to successfully defeat the Dragons of Tangledyarnia and come out the other side of her QFK victorious.
Dragon
But no, unbeknownst to Princess Amie and Prince GB, Queen Catherine was a wicked queen, who cared only for removing blame from herself. When no notice came, Prince GB told Princess Amie that the promissory note for the gold had been spotted at the local treasure chest, and they had verified the gold leaving.
Treasure Chest
So he said.

Dum dum DUMMMMMMM

The night before Princess Amie was to leave on her QFK, Prince GB decided to treat her to an evening out at a local tavern. Amie shared with him her fears that Queen Catherine had not yet responded to any of the carrier pigeons or messages in bottles that she had sent. Using magical powers of foresight, a gift from the Wizard of Cingular, GB discovered that the gold had not yet been removed from the royal treasure troves. What Prince GB had been telling the Princess for weeks had been an untruth.
Wizards Hat
Amie knew this instantly.

Not magic.

Just the fact that Prince GB went in one second from a proud, strong man, to a man who looked more similar to a dog having been caught in the act of piddling on the royal carpet.
Dog On Fire Hydrant
Princess Amie kept her royal cool. She did not scream. She did not yell. She didn't even command that Prince GB be put on the rack, then tarred-and-feathered, which is what she really wanted to do.
Whip
Princess Amie continued to pack her bags for her QFK, hoping against hope that things would work out as fate decreed.
Parrot 3
The next morning, a carrier pigeon named Aol brought a message that the promisory note had been received, and her quest could be completed.
Castle 3
The kingdom rejoiced, and Princess Amie set out on her mighty steed Norman.
Road Trip
Her Quest For Knowlege had begun.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's exciting chapter:
