Yesterday was such an unbelievably fun day it just wasn't fair. Let me tell you, after starting with a fantastic morning teaching, and ending with a fun evening chatting and spinning, I feel bad for today because it can't possibly compete.

As I said, I had a fun evening last night. I'd given Lauren a beginner spindling kit a million years ago and last night was the first time we'd had a chance to get together to learn to use it. Like all beginners, she felt awkward and was very critical of her own work, but she actually did really, really well. You can even see an ah-ha moment she had last night with her spindle:

Fiona came along for the fun, too, and so Lauren gave her a little try too....

...and found out what happens if you over twist too much...

All in all, the night was tons of fun, and we talked until both of us were totally pooped, and then I had to leave. And while I met her adorable Kris, and got to know her better, and also met Quincy, Jen-jen, and Bella, this little guy won my heart...

Don't you think Rusty looks ALMOST as cute as Aslan?

WOW! Rusty is a star! *meow*

Thanks so much for coming over and teaching me, Amie. It was fun and educational :) That spindle is great! I bet Kris will want me to show him how to before long.

...and thanks for the anniversary message!

Okay, green is the color of my little (big) face while I think of all the fun that was had between our Amie and our Lauren!

Seriously, it sounds like a great couple of days, and I am thrilled to hear, er, read it.

Thank you for the heads up about the audio thingy. If Mike doesn't make the MP3 for me today, I'll give your suggestion a go. I'm not surprised that blogger has that capability, I just hadn't thought it all the way through.

Here's to a fibery 2005! :)
