The Game is On!

It's Superbowl Sunday, and GB is out of town, which means I have the house to myself. Will I be glued to the game? Will I be glued to the commercials? No.

I do want the Eagles to win, but only because 8 million years ago when I was dating a football player, I thought Randall Cunningham was hot. That relationship ended badly, though I am very grateful for it, as it was the realization that I was over it that brought GB into my life, and I haven't concerned myself with football since.

In the meantime, we've discovered another game. The game originated last night, when I treated myself to a green olive. Aslan went nuts, yelling and flirting and throwing himself at me, proclaiming there was never a woman he'd ever loved more. I soon discovered it was actually the olive, and we decided to just remain friends. In the meantime (after researching to be certain that olives aren't poisonous to cats) we proclaimed it "Olivebowl Sunday". I give you game footage:

What you can't hear are the growls that occurred anytime Trevor or Oscar tried to get in on the fun, and while there was some tossing, tackling, and rolling involved in the game, the pictures were far to blurry. There were some tense moments when the official game Olive was thrown out of bounds, but with the assistance of a coat-hanger, the refs were able to retreive it from under the couch without too much trouble.

This is what the poor thing looked like after the game:

Final Score - Aslan: Happy, Olive: Chewed to bits.

As soon as I sign off, I'll start a pair of happy socks for myself. I meant to work more on my shawl, but it was so warm this weekend, it was tough to sit with it on my lap. I felt guilty about that for a short time, but since "My Stuff" weekend also means "My Choice" I quickly got over it.

My cats love olives too. They'll lick up any spilt olive juice and Godiva my very bossy car even stole one out of my four year old's salad. We didn't let her keep that one thou. I longer I'm around cats the more they amaze me.

I had a cat a long time ago that would eat green olives. Those were actually the only table food she would eat, and she really wouldn't eat them. She would only suck them dry after 'hunting it'. Very amusing!

I have a soft spot in my heart for the LA Rams for a similary reason. Those big doe eyes of Vince Feragamo in the 1980! of course, they lost, but my he was soooo cute.
