Erin Go Bragh!!!

Look what I have on!!!

TA DA!!!

Why, yes, the cables do twist in opposite directions, thank you for noticing!
(GB was not sufficiently impressed with this. Nor was he sufficiently concerned with wearing green today. He briefly had on a tee-shirt of his son's that was army camoflauge (with the words "Ha! Now you can't see me" on it) but it was a tiny bit small, and so he looked a bit like a boy band member, which amused me more than it did him. He settled for a red shirt with this patch on the chest

which he swears is green.)

Meanwhile, I finished the socks last night with plenty of time to spare, and immediately cast on a pair of socks for GB.... I'll resume on the stockings tonight...

Your socks are beautirific!
The cable looks great.

I need your advice on a good toe-up sock. I'm not so sure about the pattern I've used in the past.

Thanks for the sock tips. Or should I say toes? :) I was casting on four stitches and then increasing into each of those four. It leaves a ridge at the toe that's not very comfy.
Ooh, I can't wait to start a new pair of socks with your toe tips.

Wow! The comments window actually opened this time! : )

Okay. Since I'm getting flack from a certain sibling because I haven't left comments, here are the thoughts I've had, non-knitter that I am, in reading these last few posts:

- Wow, that green yarn is pretty!

- Wow, a toe!

- Wow, a slightly bigger toe!

- Wow, something resembling a foot!

- Wow, that's a nearly-recognizable sock!

- Wow, a pair of socks!

- What's a cable? And why is she picking on Ken for not noticing that one was going in the wrong direction?

I pledge in the future to be more diligent about posting my thoughts, irrelevant though thay may be; and I beg forgiveness of my very favorite sibling.

I tell you this as this is what I watched while waiting for the comment box to actually come up. (what is with blogger anyway?)
I like your finished socks.
