Jensgalore got me (I didn't even know to run!) But this seemed like fun, and I'm still (four days later) feeling groggy and unable to express MD in anything other than the things I bought (and we know it's SO much more than that, don't we, Martha, Shelia, Catherine, Jen, Bess & Clara???) so this will hopefully distract you while I take another day to awaken from my haze. There will be fiber related photos if you stick with me through the end, though...

What I have to do is choose five things from the list below and complete the sentence. Then I tag other people and they answer in their blogs.

If I could be a scientist.
If I could be a farmer
If I could be a psychologist
If I could be a librarian
If I could be an inn-keeper
If I could be a professor
If I could be a writer
If I could be a llama-rider
If I could be a bonnie pirate
If I could be an astronaut
If I could be a world famous blogger
If I could be a justice on any one court in the world
If I could be married to any current famous political figure

If I could be a farmer I would have lots of animals; alpaca and horses and angora goats and cats and dogs... and I'd have a hell of a time selling them.

If I could be a librarian I would never get any work done because I'd be reading everything I could get my hands on.

If I could be an inn-keeper I'd run an inn in a quirky place. GB and I spent a night in Lizzie Borden's home once, and it was a blast. I'd love to do something like that, or on the banks of the Loch Ness (oh, that fills so many dreams of mine) or a haunted inn....

If I could be a bonnie pirate I'd make friends with the dolphins and give my stolen booty to the poor.

If I could be a world famous blogger I'd stop blogging. Very few "most popular" blogs are ones that I find enjoyable to read, and I dislike the lack of sincerity in many of the "fans" - a lot of blogger politics remind me of sororities. Plus, the fame has an effect to change all the things I do like about the blog to begin with. I'd prefer to be less famous or not at all, and be liked sincerely.

On that note, it's time for the fiber shots I promised you! This is what I learned to do in my spinning classes last week (gosh, a whole week ago already!?)

This is pretty darn bulky - it's about a stitch and a quarter per inch knit up. It's my very first true woolen yarn, and it's 2 2-plies cabled.

On the right is 2-ply wool (Rambouillet, I think) and the left is 3-ply silk.

And here you see my VERY FIRST TOP! I washed a small amount of my corriedale fleece on the stove, used my combs for the very first time, and fed it through my diz for the very first time, and have this! With it, I spun the three ply on the right there.

OH! I'm supposed to tag someone else, aren't I?

Ummmm... Purlewe, Erica and Snow. You're it!

I don't want to admit that I was excited about being tagged, but I've never been tagged before so in a 3rd grade sort of way, I'm excited. How silly is that?

Yeah!! Beautiful spinning - It looks like your classes paid off big time - now you are so versatile - you can go from rope diameter waaay down to thread diameter. I must admit I'm just a tad bit green (with envy).

See that? I include the penny so my nerdy brother will get that some yarn is thick and some is thin, without my further confusing him by mentioning wpi, and he still comes up with a smartass comment.

David, clearly I didn't KNIT the pennies. I SPUN them...

Too funny...don't you know you ARE one of the "popular" ones? I don't know about world famous but your right upthere. And I hear you on the sorority thing...there's a forum that is like that. No matter what you do, you can't get into the clique. They just ignore you or put you down or disagree with everything you say. And it makes you feel just like high school again.
