Here's the sock yarn I spun up this weekend. The purple top at the bottom (gee, that's not confusing is it?) was also spun, but it doesn't show on the bobbin. At this point in time, I'm thinking it will end up a two-ply cable, but I keep going back and forth between that and three ply. I split the colors in half and spun them up in different orders and lengths for each half, so I have no idea how it will turn out other than I'm pretty sure I'll like it. Sometimes the colors will line up with themselves, sometimes they'll hit their "neighbors" and it's just going to look all bejeweled. Also at this point in time, the toes and heels will be that limey green only, but I do have a small blob of each of the other colors left, so I'm considering combing them together into a very slight blend, and plying that with the lime for the toes and heels. Thoughts on that? Should I leave the toes solid or go with a mottled blend together? Or should I have the whole sock the multi-colored yarn, and not have different toes and heels at all?

Here's the angel scarf, done and drying. I would have blocked the heck out of it, but I couldn't find the pins, so instead, we are "lightly blocking". It's about three inches wide, and maybe three feet long.

A close up. As you see, I ripped back the two angels wide scarf, and started over with just the one. Wanted to make sure I had enough length to go around my neck! I only had about 80 yards of the yarn. It's soft and lovely, and aside from the lousy blocking, I'm quite pleased!

And if you think I'm silly for leaving that to dry unguarded on the bed, well... I would be, if it was actually unguarded. But I left this responsible little lion in charge, and no one dared venture in.

I have some silk I'm longing to spin up tonight, but I can't find the bobbin I want to use. So who knows what I'll actually do. But life goes on, right?

That's beatufiul yarn - I vote for funky solid-colored heels and toes that are different on each sock. Beautiful angels, too. Especially the four-legged furry one in the last pic. xoxoxoxo

I would definitely choose the solid heels and toes. And I love Clara's suggestion of different colors for each foot.

I'm just reading about your news and am so sorry to hear it. My mom is a non-hodgkins lymphoma survivor (15+ years). I'm a firm believer in prayer and will add you to my list :)

I'd go for the solid heels and toes. Did you see the socks in Spin-Off with the solid green bottoms. I think your socks would look cool with solid heels and toes.

Well, he's a cat.

So yeah, he knows he's adorable. And he'll let you know, too, if you dare forget it for a moment.
