What did you have for breakfast???

I had a hunk of cheese (extra sharp cheddar, but I have yet to find a cheddar that I'd call "sharp enough") and one of these little beauties

Baby's First Synthroid

It's it pretty? Doesn't it just cheer you up just looking at it? And make you lose weight? And make you remember things? And give you energy?

No?

Okay, well, I did actually take the pill, so maybe those things will start happening soon..

For lunch today I'm thinking Taco Bell (there aren't a lot of good restaurants around the office that are a reasonable lunch break) and for dinner, crab...something. I know I'll make crab dip, but maybe crab cakes, too?

Who knows. The point is, I can have whatever I want - dairy, soy, seafood, whatever - without fear of iodine quantity!!! Hip-Hip-Hoorrayyy!!!

Amie, I hope your recovery goes well. And you can finally eat like a normal person again. I'm sure that feels like the best part of recovery right now. :)

Hmmm...maybe an iodine martini?

Great news Amie, enjoy your feast today.

Give it time Amie. They have to adjust the dosage, by trial and error, to what works for you. I'd bet you lose at least a couple of pounds, but even if you don't, you'll feel so much better, you won't care. In the meantime, enjoy your unrestricted diet.

Well, I'd have something with crab, shrimp, heavy cream and pasta - hey, sounds like seafood lasagna or seafood alfredo to me!

If you want some really sharp cheese, try the 8 year cheddar at Bass Lake Cheese Factory. They do online orders... truly wonderful cheese
http://www.blcheese.com/

We are lucky in that it is just a shortish trip to their store - about 2 hours.

Hope everything goes well.

Hugs and Peace
