Do you have family? The kind of family you aren't related to by blood, but instead by souls?

I do.

And I got to spend all weekend visiting with some, talking on the phone with others.... I didn't get to see or speak to all of them, but the ones I did, you know that I love you, and I am truly honored by your presence in my heart and soul.

In the meantime, Jane, I still (ahem) can't tell if this is (cough-cough) self-striping or just varigated...

(and yes, I do have square feet, thank you)

I think I should keep going and ignore all other responsibilities, don't you?

Yes, you should keep going. The colours look quite nice, actually.

I've been reading "What's the Matter with Kansas" after my son suggested I do so. I'm registering as a Democrat. I've seen the light -- especially after the whole Katrina fiasco.

Next time I'm in DC visiting the son, perhaps we could get together ...

Yes on the ignore, absolutely. Oh, and your feet are cute, not square.

I think I would vote for variegated on the sock yarn, but it is so hard to tell isn't it.

It's a striping variegated.
What is this about responsibilities instead of knitting? I don't understand that.

Oh, yes, don't you think it's really too soon to tell if they're striped? And then of course you'll need to find out if the mate will be the same...maybe not, so once you finish that one you'd better get right on the second one. I wouldn't take any chances if I were you! :) And Hey! I got to spend time with some "family" this weekend, too. I'll post pics later.
