I'm just in shock still. It's so hard to believe something like this could have happened. The husband is itching to put on his volunteer togs again and head down there.
Why they didn't leave makes absolutely no difference and matters nothing. Some of them no doubt had no means to leave. Regardless, they need help. Period. Thanks for saying it.
