I was sitting in the doctor's waiting room today, and realized something. Something scary.

I was wearing this:
100_0977
(the greens in the scarf do match the green in the trench coat, it's just a different fiber, so the color didn't come out as true on that)

and I was knitting this:
100_0979
which is the second of the socks that Jane is forcing me to knit to see if it's self striping.

Which means I was sitting in the waiting room looking like this:
100_0978

or, if you need a clearer picture, like this:
lime

That is to say, I'm pretty sure this green thing is a certifiable disorder.

And in honor of my self-diagnosis, I leave you with a self-portrait:

Well, is it self-striping or not?

Socks That Rock green might be, but you'll need to test it to see...and then knit the other one to see if you can make them match...

It never ends. Green is good.

Green is good - I just cast on a Mountain Colors sock in a colorway called Wilderness this am, different greens, russet, and copper, but mostly green. And, the baby socks that I am finishing for the Retreat are light green - you can't have too much!

Lady, I suffer from the same disorder. I went shopping the other day. I'm wearing a green scarf and a green turtleneck. I walk into the dressing room with 6 items. Guess how many were shades of green. If you guessed five, you'd be right! When I pull out my wallet to pay, can you guess what color that wallet is? Apple green! (There's a purse to match, too, but I've been carrying a big black shoulder bag lately.) Oh, and I'm currently knitting mittens to match the scarf, and when I'm done, I'll be knitting a hat to complete the set. I also have a cardigan sweater made from the same yarn in the same shade of green.

Oh, honey, there's absolutely nothing wrong with you - you just have a great sense of color! (It's my favorite.)

I think it's common to the Priestesses, you know. I'm often all in green, and I often match my knitting. Today, turquise cashmere cardi on my back and turquise lace shawl in my knitting basket, and teal sock in my purse.
